# Burning ETFs

Burning ETFs is the process either swapping the tokens in the ETF to a single token of your choice and transferring that to your wallet or breaking up the ETF and retrieving the individual tokens to put in your wallet

**Step 1**: Head to [dexfinance.com/dexETF](https://dexfinance.com/dexETF)

**Step 2**: Press view fund on an ETF that you have a holding in - clicking "My ETFs" will give you a definitive list

**Step 3**: (optional) Choose the burn and choose single asset

**Step 4**: (optional) Choose the burn option and choose multi asset

**Step 5**: Enter the amount of tokens you would like to burn

**Step 6**: Approve (if required) and press burn
